It looks like i was lying when i said i was going to post daily sketches again. I really had the intention of doing it but things have just not worked out that way this week.

I've been doing a lot of thinking and there are going to have to be a lot of changes take place in the next few weeks for me. For one, i really need to get a new job. The one have that i work full time just isnt where i need to be right now. Its a toxic environment. I need to get out of television and back into print or illustration where i belong.

I do a lot of freelance graphic work and, of course, my online comic that brings in about half the money i need to pay expenses. Unless i pick up more clients this week i still need, at least, a part time job to make ends meet. Thus, i need to find a solid place - in print - to work that i feel has a future.

My eventual plan is to pay all my bills with the comic and freelance or commission artwork. But that probably isnt going to happen for at least another two years or so. At any rate, now that ive rambled on, the next few weeks are going to nerve racking and exciting and i think ill post it all right here (along with some art) so keep reading and thanks for lending me your ears :)

It really pisses me off that I've stopped sketching everyday. I mean, I still draw a lot and I still have production going on my comic strip, but the daily sketches have been put off so that I can get other work done since the summer ended. I haven't thought about how it's effected me much until today as I was looking back on all the great stuff I sketched out over the summer and it made me angry that I had let myself put off sketching now.

Well I'm announcing that I am bringing back the daily sketches as of this week. Each day I will have some sort of sketch (they may not be as polished as the ones were over the summer) on my website at www.robotfriday.com in the blog section under the main comic. Right now the full color comic is updating each Monday and Friday and now daily sketches in the blog as well :)

Hey guys,

I know I've been trying to post mostly sketchbook stuff on the journal as of late, but I just recently did a few little things that I really dig and just wanted to post 'em up real quick. Most of these things are for larger projects or from my comic strip www.robotfriday.com Lemme know what ya think :)

Here a few fun bust sketches I did for my website - www.robotfriday.com - last month. The first one is Michele, from my comic, the second one is Hit-Girl and the last one is Thomas, again from my webcomic.

This summer I'm breaking from my normal comic strip production and posting sketchbook comics each day. Monday's was the image below. Inspired by the 501st Legion and a suggestions form a co-worker that I draw a Stormtrooper with a Horde symbol on his armor :)

Hey guys. I know this isn't a full sketchbook page of drawings and it's been far from daily that I've posted, but things have been pretty crazy around me over the past few days. Top all that with the fact that Mothers Day was Sunday and you get little to no productivity.

I did manage to squeeze in some drawing to get this sketch below. Of course it's Kara Thrace again (I'm still not completely happy with her look, but getting closer) in preparation for the BSG story soon at www.robotfriday.com. Again, I'll keep trying to post daily if ya wanna keep popping In to check it out.

Ok, so I have pretty much sucked at posting sketchbook dumps every day like I promised, but below is a pretty full page of sketches to hopefully get this thing going. These are chraracter development sketches of a toon for an upcoming story arc at www.robotfriday.com in June.

I'm gonna do my best to fill up a page a day of sketches in my sketchbook from now on. This should get me into the habit forming routine of drawing daily and working faster while improving my drawing overall. Below are sketches for upcoming www.robotfriday.com comic strips. Hope you like them and check in everyday for new drawings :)
